It’s no secret that nowadays social media plays a significant role in our lives. And we can see why. It facilitates all the means of communication, it brings us closer to our interests and it’s easier to send and receive all the information we need. As the media have grown in the last decade it became not only an easy method to stay in contact with our friends and relatives, to share important moments and events of our lives, to be up to date with the latest news but it also revolutionized businesses and along with it marketing.

The benefits of creating social media profiles

All companies whether big or small tend to create strong social media profiles. What started as a way of people keeping in touch developed through time into a powerful marketing tool because of its popularity.

There are a lot of benefits using social media such as it is a lot cheaper than the usual means of promoting because companies don’t spend the same amount of money like they would normally do on television commercials or magazines, for example. Also from the marketing point of view, it’s an inexhaustible source of commercial ideas, widening the possibilities of searching for new market segments and for public and, of course, for advertising. Advertising in social networks is very important because it’s a driving force of trade and it helps to transmit any information faster and more efficient due to the fact that people tend to spend a lot of time on social media. Nowadays, developing your business into social networking means getting into the core of events, being in the focus of millions of potential customers, partners, and investors.

The big number of social network users is the main reason why a company will deem mandatory to promote its business in this manner. For example, a post on Facebook that gets viral can trigger the interest of a well-known journalist from an authoritative publication. Social network activity, the number of likes, shares, comments are part of the online promotion strategy of any business today. This is because a constant and efficient social media activity leads to increased business popularity. This interest turns into a valuable backlink in Google’s business valuation. Another strategy that companies choose is to find what the social media environment call it influencers in order to promote their products. Companies will find and analyze profiles which have a lot of followers if we talk about Instagram for example and will pay them to promote their brand in day to day pictures to enlarge the spectrum of buyers.

Whether you’re a simple user or you want to start a business, social media undoubtedly has a great impact on everyday life. It’s the perfect way to gain popularity and to increase your business’ customers as long as you have a good online marketing strategy and you choose your platforms well.
